El Arenal is situated on Majorca’s south coast at the eastern end of a long stretch of sandy beach called Playa de Palma. El Arenal was first populated by sandstone workers at the end of the 19th century, but now has a wealth of lively bars and clubs and very lively atmosphere and nightlife.
