The Ridgewood House is a recently renovated house in Ridgewood, Queens, on the Brooklyn border. When we found this place, we knew we had could have a unique building in the neighborhood that really stands out. This was our first house in Ridgewood and we’re happy that we were able to add a house in this historic neighborhood to the Outpost Club family. The house has unusually high ceilings, even in the basement! The house is a newly renovated space with central air, updated appliances and tile floors. This coliving space has fourteen bedrooms, all attached to three kitchens/dining rooms, a large living room, a co-working space and a laundry room. All of the common areas are massive in comparison to your average New York apartment.

Outpost Club is more than just a place to live and work. We’ve created a coliving community that offers both general and professional networking, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with people from all over the world with a variety of backgrounds and expertises. In addition to designing our spaces to make living together a breeze, we offer multiple events a month to help you get to know the entire Outpost Club community, whether at a movie night or while kayaking on the East River.

The living room has three large couches and a 55-inch TV (with Netflix!); this is where we host movie nights, game nights and chill hangouts. The coworking space is equipped with everything you need to relax. This space is also equipped with everything you need to work! This room comfortably holds up to 10 people working simultaneously. There's a lot of desk space to make sure your work time is productive. Additionally, there are many common spaces throughout the house that our members use to work. The kitchens are the heart of the house, and for good reason. In each of the three apartments (all members have access to all three apartments), the kitchen and dining room are the first rooms you enter. These spaces each have dining-room tables: he downstairs dining room is large enough to seat 10-12 people, while the upstairs dining rooms are capable of seating 5-6 people each. These spaces are used for potluck dinners, solo meals and even chats in the evening over a glass of wine. We even have a backyard! This space has tables and chairs so you can work outside in the spring, summer and autumn. This space holds many parties, get-togethers, barbecues and celebrations. You have to go through someone's room to get there, but as long as you get permission, you’re free to use it.

Despite reading some not-so-great reviews online, I decided to go with Outpost Club because the agent I was working with was so kind and professional. So far, it’s been a really nice experience. The apartment was spotless when I moved in, and they even reimbursed me for a couple of small items that weren’t working properly. What I love most is how prompt they are with responses—whether I have a question about rent or just need help with something in the apartment. Plus, their app makes submitting requests super easy. Highly recommend for anyone moving to a new city!
